A Walker man was injured in a single vehicle accident near Center Point Friday night. The Linn County Sheriff's Department says at about 10:45pm Linn Deputies, Rescue and Ambulance crews responded to a personal injury accident on Lewis Access Road near Indian Boundary Road. A news release says a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Clay Berns of Walker, was driving northbound on Lewis Access Road when he lost control of the vehicle and went into the west ditch where he struck a tree. He was transported by Center Point Ambulance to a local hospital for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. Berns was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.
