The Delaware County Pork Producers and Porkettes invite you to the 68th annual pork bar-b-que on Thursday, August 27th at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester. Enjoy your choice of a windsor or Iowa pork chop dinner served from 5-7pm, followed by the program at 7pm, with the coronation of the pork queen around 7:15, then the awards presentation. Tickets are $18 for adults, and a kids meal for $6. Dine in, carryout, and drive thru all available.

Enjoy a family game night at the James Kennedy Public Library in Dyersville on Friday, August 28th from 6-8pm. Bring your favorite board or card game, or video game and play with others.

The Dyersville Downtown Market will take place on Saturday, August 29th from 8-noon at Legacy Square in downtown Dyersville. This will be the special Market of Dreams. Many local vendors will be on hand, plus lots of fun and games for the kids, and plenty of food and refreshments.

American Legion Post 45 in Manchester will host another steak fry on Saturday, August 29th from 4:30-7pm. Enjoy a ribeye steak with all the fixins for just $27. Dine in or carryouts available at 563-927-3271.

It's family fun at the 19th annual Peosta Days on Saturday, August 29th in Peosta. The theme this year is Let's Head Back to the 90's. The parade will kick off at 3:30pm, followed by family fun at the Peosta ball diamonds. There will be games and amusements for the kids, live music with BJ McAndrew, cow pie bingo and a bean bag tournament at 5pm, with a surprise contest at 6:30pm. The night will wrap up with fireworks at dusk.

The Petersburg Commercial Club welcomes you and your family to their Back Field Country Bash on Saturday, August 29th from 6pm-midnight at the Petersburg ball diamond. Gates will open at 5:30, with music from Darrell, Karen, and Connie from 6-8pm. The Veteran's will march in at 8pm with our nations colors. The live auction begins at 8:30, with Nashville artist Jake Maurer performing from 9-midnight. There will be lots of fun for the kids, and plenty of food and refreshments. No carry ins.

The 12th annual Pay It Forward bike and car cruise takes place on Saturday, August 29th. Sign up will be at TJ Shooter's in New Vienna, with the ride leaving at 11am sharp. Cost is $15 per rider, and $10 per passenger. The route will make stops along the way, and eventually end up back at TJ Shooter's. Bring your classic or motorcycle and join the ride. Proceeds will benefit the Jeff and Melissa Willenborg family, this year's recipients of the New Vienna benefit tractor pull which is coming up on Sunday, September 13th.

Enjoy a Sunday morning breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, August 30th from 8-noon at the Edgewood Fire Department. All proceeds from the breakfast will be used to preserve and restore the headstones of our veterans in the Edgewood Cemetery.

The Colesburg Methodist Church welcomes you and your family to their ice cream social on Sunday, August 30th from 4-7pm. Enjoy sandwiches, ice cream and more. Free will offerings will be accepted.

Come meet with friends and neighbors on Tuesday mornings in Earlville. The social gatherings take place every Tuesday beginning at 8am at the Earlville Community Center. There will be games, puzzles, cards, and more, plus coffee and snacks.

The Dyersville Area Farmer's Market takes place every Thursday afternoon from 3-5pm at Commercial Club Park in Dyersville. Fresh produce, baked goods, and vendors all on hand. Also, the Manchester Area Farmer's Market every Saturday morning from 7:30-11am, along River Street, behind Bushel and A Peck.
