Update on Deadly Two-Vehicle Collision near Worthington

An update has been given on a car versus UTV accident in which two people died and five were injured near Worthington. According to a news release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:20 PM August 8, deputies and emergency crews responded to the intersection of East Worthington Road and Comer Road for a car versus UTV accident with multiple people involved. Investigation revealed that 33-year-old Joshua Tack of Union, Iowa was operating the UTV when it entered into the roadway with East Worthington Road. The UTV was then struck by an eastbound SUV. Ten-year-old Lane Pisarik was declared dead at the scene. Tack was transported to a hopital with five others, all with serious to life threatening injuries. Tack was declared dead at the hospital. The accident remains under investigation.
