Police have identified the two people found dead in a Clinton home and released their causes of death. On Monday, Clinton police said 52-year-old Shelly Ann Leab and 57-year-old Brian Keith Witherspoon were found dead during a welfare check at a home on Pershing Boulevard at 12:30 p.m. Friday. The Iowa medical examiner performed autopsies Monday and said Leab died from multiple gunshot wounds and ruled her death a homicide. Witherspoon died from a single gunshot wound. His death was ruled a suicide. On Saturday, the family said Leab’s body was found along with her ex-fiance. The investigation remains ongoing.
