Two Injured in Crash on Highway 20 near Peosta

Two people were injured, with one being airlifted, after a two vehicle crash on Highway 20 near Peosta Wednesday. According to the Iowa State Patrol at 7:30 AM, 24-year-old Emily Tillander of Peosta pulled out from Cox Springs road onto highway 20 into the path of a Toyota Highlander driven by 34-year-old Candis Grap of Dubuque. Tillander's Ford Edge was struck in the driver's door and B-pillar area. Highway 20 eastbound was closed for a time while the accident was cleared. Tillander was taken to Finley Hospital in Dubuque, then transferred by air to U of I Hospitals. Grap was taken to MercyOne Dubuque for treatment of her injuries.
