Three people were seriously injured in a crash near Luana recently. A news release states that September 21, at about 3:10 p.m., the Clayton County deputies received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 18 near the intersection of Dolphin Avenue. According to the sheriff's department, 57-year-old Annette Davis, of Luana, was northbound on Dolphin Avenue in a Hyundai Palisade, when she failed to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way to a Chevrolet Silverado traveling westbound on Highway 18, driven by 76-year-old Richard Uhlenhake of Ossian. Davis was transported by ambulance to Crossing Rivers Health with suspected serious injuries. Uhlenhake and his juvenile passenger were also transported by ambulance to Veterans Memorial Hospital with suspected serious injuries. Davis was charged with failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way.
