Center Point-Urbana junior Aaliyah Causey won the race in 19:24.52, Maquoketa Valley 8th grader Josalyn Burlage was second at 20:06.23, Ed-Co was led by sophomore Josie Diers who placed fourth at 20:13.42, West Delaware’s top runner was freshman Aurora Milroy who ran the course in 21:35.19 to finish 12th, Cascade was led by 8th grader Addie Kedley in 19th place at 22:06.50, and the leader for Beckman Catholic was senior Autumn Domeyer who finished in 51st place with a time of 24:55.34.

Decorah senior Clarence Nimrod was the individual champion with a time of 17:02.79. Beckman Catholic senior Steffen Goerdt placed 5th at 17:36.08, West Delaware’s top runner was sophomore Nolan Hemann in 13th place with a time of 18:38.77, Tanner Callahan led Cascade as the freshman took 21st in 19:03.87, and Ed-Co’s top runner was junior Eli Bailey who was 53rd at 21:19.21.

The dates and host schools for cross country state qualifying meets were announced Monday. Class 3A and 4A meets are scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, while the 1A and 2A meets are Thursday, October 22nd. Area host schools include Dubuque Senior in 4A, Indpendence in 3A, Monticello for 2A and North Linn in class 1A. The 1A and 2A state cross country meets are set for October 30, with 3A and 4A running on the 31st.
