West Delaware plays in the Elite Showdown hosted by Clear Lake at Legacy Golf Course in Mason City
The Northwoods League has announced that the Field of Dreams Ballpark will be home to one of its teams beginning next year. League officials are inviting fans to submit nominations for what to name the team that will call Dyersville home. To submit a team name, visit dyersvillenwl.com. The collegiate baseball league, which has 26 teams, is set to host its All-Star game at the field this July.

The NCAA on Thursday announced that the men’s and women’s basketball tournaments are expanding to 76 teams in the upcoming season. The men’s tournament field was last expanded in 2011, while they previously added teams to the women’s tournament in 2022. Both tournaments will now include a 12-game Opening Round, with men’s games played on Tuesday and Wednesday and women’s games on the Wednesday and Thursday between selection Sunday and the round of 64.
