In high school sports yesterday, the RVC Girls Golf Tournament was played at Muscatine Municipal Golf Course. Tipton won the team title with a score of 376, Mid-Praire was second at 389, and Durant took third place at 393. Beckman Catholic finished fourth, scoring a 413, Monticello placed seventh with a 425, followed by Cascade at 436, and Anamosa took ninth place with total score of 439.

Utah’s NHL franchise has a new name. After a 13-month process that included fan voting, Utah Mammoth was revealed as the new name for the team, which had played the 2024-25 season as the Utah Hockey Club. The team is owned by Smith Entertainment Group, which purchased and relocated the former Arizona Coyotes franchise to Salt Lake City.
