Drake has hired South Dakota State's Eric Henderson as its next coach. Henderson guided the Jackrabbits to two NCAA tournaments in the past four seasons and won regular-season conference titles in his six years as head coach. Henderson will look to continue the recent success of the Bulldogs, who have gone to three consecutive NCAA tournaments.
All four #1 seeds in the men’s NCAA Basketball Tournament have reached the Final Four. In yesterday’s games, Auburn beat Michigan State 70-64 to win the South Region, while Houston defeated Tennessee 69-50 in the Midwest Regional Final. The men’s tournament resumes Saturday with Florida vs Auburn at 5:09 PM, followed by Duke vs Houston. The championship game will be played next Monday.
In the women’s tournament yesterday, top seed South Carolina beat second-seeded Duke 54-50 in the Regional 2 Final, and Regional 1 top-seed UCLA defeated #3 LSU 72-65. The other two regional finals are tonight - #1 Texas faces #2 TCU in the Regional 3 game at 6:00, followed by #1 USC vs #2 Uconn in Regional 4. Both games are on ESPN. The women’s national semi-final games will be played Friday, with the title game on Sunday.
