The girls basketball postseason began last night with class 1A games. Ed-Co defeated Central Elkader 51-34, and Clarksville beat Starmont 63-32. Ed-Co will now play at East Buchanan in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday.

In regular season basketball scheduled for tonight, the Western Dubuque girls JV & varsity teams play at Waverly-Shell Rock.

High school basketball continues tomorrow night on KDST when the Beckman Catholic girls open the playoffs at Sumner-Fredericksburg. That game will start at 7 pm. In other girls playoff games tomorrow, Monticello hosts Camanche, Anamosa plays at Tipton, and West Delaware hosts North Fayette Valley.

Due to the forecast, a few schedule changes were made for boys high school wrestling state-qualifying district tournaments. One of those changes is for the 2A district tournament at Independence, which will now be held today with matches starting at 2 pm. That group includes Anamosa and Monticello. Other wrestling districts involving local schools will be held tomorrow as scheduled. In 3A, Western Dubuque will be at Bettendorf, in class 2A, West Delaware will compete in the district at New Hampton, and in 1A, Beckman Catholic, Cascade and Maquoketa Valley go to MFL MarMac.
