Two Republican state lawmakers held a forum at the Anamosa Public Library Friday. KCRG reports Dubuque County Senator Carrie Koelker and Jones County Representative Steven Bradley answered questions from a moderator. Those attending wrote their questions on a card for the moderator to read. The lawmakers covered topics like SNAP, school funding, levies and work requirements for those on Medicaid. At one point, there was a heated exchange when discussing the legal battle over the recent deportations of migrants to El Salvador under the Trump administration. The forum was not posted publicly except in a Facebook post on the Jones County Democrats page.
