Prairieburg Man Pleads Guilty Sexual Exploitation of Children

A Prairieburg man who convinced children to send him sexually explicit content of themselves pleaded guilty in federal court Thursday. In a plea agreement, 37-year-old Bryce Plower confessed that he persuaded multiple children to send him sexually explicit pictures and videos of themselves. At least two children under the age of 16 actually sent Plower sexual content. Plower paid the children, sometimes as little as $1, for the pictures and videos. He also possessed photos and videos of child pornography on his phone, including images of sadistic or masochistic conduct. Plower was convicted of sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography. He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison, and a possible maximum sentence of 50 years’ imprisonment, a $500,000 fine, $77,200 in special assessments, and a life of supervised release following imprisonment.
