One of the two people who were seriously injured in a single vehicle accident in Farley early Friday morning has died. The Dubuque County Sheriff's office says that 41-year-old Gabriel Rodriguez Pina of Bloomingdale, Illinois has died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. At about 4:35 AM Friday, deputies along with Farley Fire and EMS, responded to 1st Street South, under the Highway 20 overpass bridges for the report of a single vehicle accident. The occupants of the vehicle, Rodriguez Pina and 41-year-old Gaurav Karwal, of Cedar Falls, were found inside the vehicle. Both had serious injuries and were transported to MercyOne Dubuque by Farley Fire and EMS. Rodriguez Pina was later transferred to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, where he later died. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
