Authorities have released the names of the people involved in the two-vehicle crash Monday in Cedar County that resulted in the death of one driver. Iowa State Patrol reports the crash happened at 1927 Highway 38 near Tipton around 11:05 a.m. Monday. The crash report states a semi, driven by 64-year-old David Kack of Springville, was backing up across a roadway into a private drive when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Terrence Tylee of Coralville, collided with the left side of the trailer. Tylee was airlifted to University of Iowa Hospital, but died from his injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
