Monticello Man Facing Charges after Rear Ending a Vehicle on Highway 13

A Monticello man is facing charges after rearending a vehicle on Highway 13. A crash report for the Delaware County Sheriff's office states that 53-year-old Thaddeus Moorman of Manchester was driving North on Highway 13 at about 2:40 a.m. Saturday, when he noticed a vehicle behind him approaching at a high rate of speed. The report states that Moorman was prepared for the vehicle to slow, or pass, but the vehicle struck him from behind. The impact forced Moorman's Chevy Silverado into the ditch. The other vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe driven by 21-year-old Dillon McDonald traveled into the ditch and into an adjacent field. McDonald was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to maintain control and speeding.
