A Marion man was injured in a motorcycle accident near Springville Sunday morning. A press release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies states that crews responded to the report of a Motorcycle vs Deer accident on Highway 151 just north of Quaker Lane at about 10:20 am. Upon arrival they discovered a Yamaha motorcycle in the median and the driver and lone occupant of vehicle 44-year-old Jason Waddell of Marion, conscious and breathing. The release states that the motorcycle was southbound on Highway 151 and had just passed Linn Jones Rd when a deer entered the roadway in front of Waddell. Waddell collided with the deer and entered the middle median and kept in control until he hit an access crossing in the median. This caused the motorcycle to flip ejecting him from the motorcycle. Waddell was taken by Anamosa Ambulance to Springville to a designated landing area where UIHC Aircare transported him to UIHC Trauma with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.
