A Manchester man was arrested after he fired a handgun into a floor while intimidating a woman during a disturbance in Delaware County. A news release from the Manchester Police Department states that 55-year-old Charles Clute was involved in a disturbance with a woman at approximately 10:15 p.m. Monday at his residence. During the disturbance, Clute pointed a handgun gun at the woman and then discharged the firearm into the living room floor a few feet away from where the woman was sitting. The woman then left the residence and contacted police. Clute was arrested Tuesday morning at his residence on a warrant charging intimidation with a dangerous weapon, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Manchester Police Department states that the arrest was made in cooperation with the Joint County Emergency Response Team.
