Authorities have identified a man killed in a motorcycle accident on I-380 Saturday. According to the Linn County Sheriff's Department at about 10:55 AM, deputies and emergency crews including the Lifeguard Air Ambulance were dispatched to a motorcycle accident on I-380 northbound, just north of the Midway Overpass with fatal injuries. The release states 74-year-old James Villars of Plymouth Minnesota, was riding a motorcycle northbound in the outside lane when he attempted to change lanes to the inside lane. Villars lost control of the motorcycle of the and was ejected. The Motorcycle came to rest in the median. Interstate 380 northbound was closed for approximately 35 minutes while the accident was cleared.
