Sheriff Brian Gardner says in a news release that the app will serve as an innovative way for the Sheriff’s Office to connect with Linn County residents and visitors, providing information quickly and efficiently to anyone with a smartphone. Gardner says mobile apps allow public safety agencies a better way to reach and serve their residents, as they provide the ability to alert, inform, and prepare them. In addition to providing alerts and information, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office app will provide easily accessible links to Jail Information including Inmate Search, Sex Offenders, Gun Permits, Sheriff Foreclosure Sales, access to Pay Fines, Submit A Tip and more. The Linn County Sheriff's Office app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, which specializes in mobile app development for sheriff’s offices, police departments, and other public safety organizations. The department says the app offers quick access to items of public interest.
