The Linn County Sheriff’s Office is seeking public assistance in locating an inmate who walked away from a treatment facility last month. According to a news release, July 23, Mariah Marie Cox, an inmate at the Linn County Correctional Center, was transferred to an inpatient treatment facility in Sioux City, for court-ordered treatment. On July 24, at 11:00 p.m., Cox walked away from the facility without permission. Mariah Cox is currently awaiting trial for revocation of probation. Cox is described as a white 24-year-old female, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing approximately 145 pounds.
