Jones County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Attempted ATM Theft from Wyoming Bank

The Jones County Sheriff’s Office says it’s looking for those responsible for trying to steal an ATM from a bank in Wyoming, Iowa. It happened a little after 5 a.m. at Citizens State Bank. The sheriff’s office shared photos where you can see the truck was left behind, and the ATM was severely damaged. The sheriff’s office says the truck used in the incident was stolen. Officials will not say if the people involved stole any money from the ATM. The sheriff’s office says there have been similar incidents, and it’s working with other agencies to figure out if this is part of a state or nationwide network.
