Highway 61 in Dubuque has reopened after downed lines caused a brief closure early this morning. The highway was closed in both directions just south of the Dubuque Airport due to downed lines. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says the closure occured between Skyline Road and Pitz Road. The sheriff’s office did not confirm which kind of lines were down, or if they were brought down by the storms moving through the area. There is no word on power outages in the area.
