A barn near Farley was damaged by fire Wednesday. A news release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies along with Farley, Epworth and Worthington Fire Departments responded to 7831 Comer Road for a structure fire. Fire crews were able to extinguish the farm building and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures. The barn contained about 220 bales of hay. The damage is estimated at $40,000. Authorities say the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
