An Earlville woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 20 Friday morning. A crash report from the Delaware County Sheriff's office says at 7 AM, 68-year-old Katherine Hunt of Earlville had just pulled westbound onto Highway 20 from 218th St and accelerating in the right lane. Hunt stated she saw a vehicle in her rear view mirror traveling at a high rate of speed toward her, in her lane. That vehicle, driven by 25-year-old Noah Vosteen of Reynolds Illinois, rear-ended Hunt's vehicle, causing it to roll into the north ditch. After the collision, Vosteen's vehicle entered the center median and Hunt's vehicle came to a rest on its wheels. Hunt was extracted from her vehicle by Earlville Fire and she was transported to Regional Medical Center by Earlville EMS. Hunt reported having chest pains and also had some facial injuries. Vosteen was not injured in the crash. Hunt's Chevrolet Equinox sustained major damage and was totaled. Two witnesses were in a vehicle together traveling westbound on Highway 20 when they observed Vosteen pass them about a mile before the crash at a high rate of speed. The witnesses did not see the collision, but they did see Hunt's vehicle roll into the ditch. Vosteen was cited for following too close.
