The Dyersville Lions Club will award the 2026 Citizen of the Year Award on Monday, June 15, at 6pm at FUSE Restaurant & Bar. A news release reveals this year’s co-recipients, Lisa Burlage and Mickey Kelchen. The release states that Lisa and Micky are great examples of the Lions Motto, “We serve.” Lisa and Micky have been serving the local food pantry and working with the Christmas Angel Program in Dyersville for several years. The club says Micky and Lisa have done a great job of serving the community and taking care of others. This year marks the Dyersville Lions Club’s 54th Citizen of the Year Award. Phil Schmitz is planning to be in attendance; he was the Citizen of the Year 50 years ago in 1976.
