The Dyersville Commercial Club is hosting a tailgating event to raise funds for the July 3rd fireworks. The Commercial Club Tailgate will take place Thursday inside the air conditioned Oak Gardens building at Commercial Club Park. The event will include lunch, with grilled hot dogs and hamburgers from 11 AM-1:30 PM. To go orders may be placed by 10 AM Thursday, by calling 563-590-3002. Delaney's Ice cream will be served from 11-4, with 10% of all proceeds and tips donated to Commercial Club Park. There will be a meet and greet with Beckman baseball, softball and soccer teams from 1-2:30 PM and a guest reader from the James Kennedy Public Library at 2:30. The Farmer's Market will take place at it's normal time, from 3-5 PM. The tailgating event precedes the Beckman versus Maquoketa baseball game at Jenk Field at 5.
