A man arrested in connection with a Dubuque assault and shooting now faces an attempted murder charge. The Telegraph Herald reports 19-year-old Domani Stephenson of Sherrill has been charged with attempted murder and willful injury-causing bodily injury in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County. Stephenson previously was arrested on charges of unauthorized possession of offensive weapons and participation in a riot for his alleged role in the May 4 assault and shooting of 29-year-old Excell Moore IV of Dubuque. Stephenson was part of a group of four men that assaulted Moore. Stephenson later returned and shot Moore. Moore was transported by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which included possible shrapnel in his left hand, a gunshot wound through his right thigh, and swelling to his right eye.
