A Dubuque man is facing more charges after being arrested on a new burglary charge. Police say 30-year-old Austine Thomas of Durango, was booked Thursday afternoon on a felony third-degree burglary charge. According to the public arrest log, Thomas was taken into custody early Thursday afternoon. No details about the alleged break-in, stolen items, or location have not yet been released.
Thomas already faces charges this year, including methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver, a separate third-degree burglary, and eight counts of trafficking stolen weapons tied to a December cabin theft of nine firearms. Older convictions include drug distribution and eluding. Their is no link between the new charge and the earlier firearms case.
