Dubuque County leaders are working on a plan to create a data center ordinance for the community. The Board of Supervisors put a 12-month moratorium in place to give them time to develop the rules. Supervisors will meet every Monday they don't have a regular meeting to discuss next steps. They also plan to hold four public information meetings before October to share details and hear from residents. Supervisor Wayne Kenniker says this approach will be a more productive way to address high-priority issues in Dubuque County. The first public comment session is scheduled to take place June 23 at the Peosta Community Center to discuss the ordinance.
