Authorities have released the identity of the driver killed in a single vehicle accident near Cascade early Friday morning. According to a news release, at about 3:10 AM a Delaware County Deputy came across a single vehicle accident in the 2900 block of Goose Hill Road West of Cascade. The Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office and Cascade Fire and EMS along with Delaware County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident scene. The release states that 26-year-old John Gadient of Cascade was eastbound when his vehicle left the roadway, traveled through the south side ditch area and struck a tree. Gadient, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
