Two people were injured in a head-on collision North of Peosta. The Telegraph Herald reports that 29-year-old Cierre Newbern was traveling west in the 17000 block of Old Highway Road at approximately 8:20 p.m. Monday when she lost control of her vehicle due to speed and icy road conditions. Newbern’s vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle driven by 62-year-old Scott Crabill of Dubuque. Newbern and passenger 21-year-old Chrisheana Arnold, both of Dubuque, were transported by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Neither Scott Crabill nor his passenger, 65-year-old Theresa Crabill of Dubuque, reported injuries. Newbern was cited with driving under suspension, failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to maintain control.
