The Iowa Department of Transportation provided a construction update on two area highways. According to an email to KDST from Iowa Department of Transportation Engineer, Hugh Holak, The US-20 asphalt was to be finished Wednesday. Crews will be working on shoulders, rumble strips, and painting over the next week or two. On Highway 3, between Richardsville and Dubuque, crews are working on rock excavation and culverts. They are maintaining road access for residents, but through traffic is not allowed. The pavement removal on Highway 3 is likely to begin in June.
