Peosta Elementary is looking for gently used snow pants for kids ages 1st grade thru 4th grade. The school uses those snow pants for kids in need, and when students forget theirs.

The James Kennedy Public library has many different events and programs all winter long for all ages, including their Friday afternoon games like, cards, dominoes and more. Feel free to bring your own games too, while socializing with friends. This is held every Friday from 1-3:30pm. The James Kennedy Public Library welcomes all older adults older to take part in strength training during the winter season. This strength training and exercise program is made possible by a partnership between the Geri-Fit Company and the JKPL. Participants will exercise to a Geri-Fit DVD, and most of the strength exercises are performed seated in a chair, and there is no dancing or aerobics involved. Classes are held on Monday's and Thursday's and last approximately 45 minutes. Each participant will need a set of 2 or 3 pound dumbbell weights, a medium weight stretch band, and water to drink. Registration is required by contacting the James Kennedy Public Library at 875-8912, also at their website dyersville.lib.ia.us, or on Facebook. Also, enjoy another family movie at the library. On Saturday, February 15th, Wicked will be shown at 12pm. Then on Thursday, February 20th, from 1-3pm, library staff member Ann will be on hand to help you start or continue with your 5 generation ancestor chart. All attendees should bring their own laptop if they have one. There will be some laptops available at the library. And coming up soon, the JKPL presents their 2025 Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser, Fast Times at Kennedy High on Saturday, February 22nd. Doors will open at 5:45pm, with the event starting at 6:30. The night will feature 80's trivia with murder, mayhem, and mix tapes performed by the Brew Ha Ha Players. Tickets are $75 each, or a table of 6 for $400. Seating is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance. The meal that night will feature salisbury steak and sliced roasted pork loin with all the trimmings, catered by the J & D Mart. Soda and water will be available, but guests can bring their own drinks, including alcohol. For tickets, contact the library at 875-8912, or check out the JKPL on Facebook.

Join the Ryan American Legion Auxiliary Unit 692 for a community coffee at the Ryan American Legion on Saturday, March 1st from 8-10am.

The 67th annual Delaware County Dairy Banquet will take place on Saturday, March 1st at the Delaware County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Manchester. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Enjoy delicious steak sandwiches grilled by the cattlemen, plus all the fixins. Drive thru will also be available for the meal from 6-7:45pm, with the program beginning at 8pm. The night will also feature a live and silent auction, with proceeds benefitting the Maquoketa Valley FFA Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management Team on their trip to the Royal Highland Show in Scotland and Ireland. Tickets for the banquet must be purchased in advance at Community Savings Bank in Manchester and Earlville, and also at Fidelity Bank and Trust in Dyersville, or just contact any dairy board member.

The 4th annual Friends of the Western Dubuque FFA steak dinner and auction will take place on Saturday, March 1st at the Milestone Event Center in Farley. All FFA alumni, parents, grandparents and supporters are welcome. Doors will open at 4pm, with a delcious ribeye steak dinner served at 5pm catered by The Barn, followed by a live auction at 7pm. The Bernard Firemen's annual breakfast will take place on Sunday, March 2nd from 7:30-11:30am at St. Patrick's Garryowen Parish Hall in Bernard.

The Worthington Volunteer Fire Dept. welcomes you and your family to their drive thru breakfast on Sunday, March 2nd serving from 7-noon at the Worthington fire station . Signs and directions at the drive thru will be posted.

The Manchester Troop 34 Boy Scouts welcome you and your family to their pancake breakfast on Sunday, March 2nd serving from 7-noon

The 2025 Emerald Run 5K in Anamosa will take place on Saturday, March 15th at 10am at Wapsipinicon State Park. Registration fee is $25, and anyone who registers by February 28th will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Registration will increase to $30 March 8th and beyond.
