The City of Dyersville will host a community tree planting day on April 29. The planting is made possible by a $3,000 grant from Alliant Energy’s Community Tree Planting Program, Part of the One Million Trees Initiative. The $3,000 grant will be used to purchase 20 trees, (10) Norway Spruce and (10) Red Cedars. These trees will help to shade a playground area as well as act as a wind block. The grant requires all trees to be planted by volunteers. All volunteers from the community are welcome. Bring a shovel and gloves if you are able. The planting will begin at 2 PM.
