A Central City woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Friday. According to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff's Department, 74-year-old Cheryl Clarke of Central City, was traveling northbound in a Buick Envision at 3:50 PM, when she left the roadway and entered the east ditch of Highway 13 south of Central City Road. Clarke was transported to a local hospital by Ambulance for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The accident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
