A Central City man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Wednesday night. A news release from the Linn County Sheriff’s Department says at about 8:50 PM Deputies, the Iowa State Patrol and emergency crews responded to a crash at the intersection of North Center Point Road and County Home Road. The report says a Buick Encore driven by 79-year-old Kenneth Kolek of Central City and a Ford Truck driven by 34-year-old Douglas Drees of Cedar Rapids, collided in the intersection. Kolek was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Drees and a juvenile passenger were uninjured.
