A Bernard man was arrested after he struck another man with a bottle during a weekend altercation at a bar in Cascade. Cascade police and the Dubuque County Sheriff's Department responded around 12:10 a.m. to 1891 Saloon & Eatery on First Avenue in Cascade for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, Police found a bartender of the bar bleeding from a head wound. A group of people were behind the bar and asked to move multiple times. Court documents state 38-year-old Daniel Henneberry of Bernard was asked to leave the bar multiple times and refused, causing a fight between himself and the bartender. Surveillance video footage showed an argument between Henneberry and the bartender and showed Henneberry striking the bartender with a closed fist before they both fell to the floor. Henneberry admitted to striking the bartender with a bottle during an altercation. Ambulance staff treated Henneberry and the bartender for their injuries at the scene for injuries. Henneberry was taken into custody and transported to the Dubuque County Jail. Henneberry was arrested on a charge of assault with injury.
