It's National Library Week! Be sure to stop in at the JKPL in Dyersville and check out everything your local library has to offer, including all the events and programs for all ages, and be sure to check out something to read at home. Another family movie at the library will be shown on Saturday, April 25th. Song Sung Blue will be shown at 12:30pm. This is geared for older teens and adults. During April, be sure to stop at the JKPL in Dyersville to help with the new jigsaw puzzle. For all those who work on the puzzle, you can put your name into a drawing to win the puzzle, once it's completed. Please stop at the front desk to get your name entered.

The 3rd Annual Tri-State Raceway Car Show will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 11am-2pm at Tri-State Raceway in Earlville. Whether it's two or four wheels, everything is welcome. Awards will be given out to the best three appearing cars voted on by the public. There will be a free lunch served from noon-1pm, with the awards ceremony at 1:30pm. There will be a Red Cross blood drive on Tuesday, April 28th from noon til 6pm at the KC Hall in Dyersville. Appointments can be made online at redcrossblood.org, or by contacting Shirley at 875-6015. Walk ins are also welcome. Donors will receive a $15 e-gift card to a merchant of choice and a coupon for a free pint of Culver's frozen custard.

Western Dubuque HS is once again offering their spring clean up on Wednesday, April 29th. This day is offtered to help out residents in the Western Dubuque community. The Midwest Pride in Your Ride Truck and Tractor Show rolls into the Tri-State Raceway in Earlville Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd for an action packed two day show featuring working class show trucks and antique tractors from our area and across the Midwest. There will be a survivor convoy Friday at 5:30pm, followed by a semi pull at 6pm, then a light show. Saturday begins with lifetime achievement awards at 10:30am followed by a live auction at 11am, plus kids fun and activities, then semi drag racing and a semi pull beginning at2pm, plus vendors both days. Maquoketa Valley HS welcomes you to their upcoming spring play “Just Another High School Play”. Performances will be Friday, May 1st and Saturday, May 2nd both at 7pm, and then on Sunday, May 3rd at 2pm.

Dutrac Community Credit Union is once again sponsoring their annual diaper drive to help families in need in our community. You can drop off diapers of any size, or make a donation at any Dutrac branch. Learn more at Dutrac.org. Every donation stays local, and this diaper drive runs through May.
