A Strawberry Point woman was injured and faces charges after a two-vehicle accident in Delaware County. According to an accident report from the Delaware County Sheriff's Department, at about 4:30 PM October 7th, deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on 140th Avenue, near 110th street. The report states that 32-year-old Keenan McQuillen was driving South on 140th Avenue in a Chevy Silverado, when he saw a vehicle traveling North at a high rate of speed. The report says the northbound vehicle, a Chevy Traverse driven by 73-year-old Valerie Paris from Strawberry Point, went off the pavement on the right side of the road and over corrected, loosing control. Paris' vehicle then crossed the center line and struck McQuillen's truck in the left rear. Paris' vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled, landing on it's wheels. Paris was transported by ambulance to Regional Medical center for treatment of minor injuries. McQuillen was not injured. The report states that Paris was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. She was also cited for speeding and failure to maintain control.
