A McGregor man is facing charges after a recent two-vehicle accident in rural Guttenberg. The Clayton County Sheriff's department received a report of a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Great River Road and Island Road in rural Guttenberg at 4:15 AM on September 19. A news release says that 49-year-old Kenneth Feran, of Guttenberg, was northbound on Great River Road in a Chevrolet Malibu when he was sideswiped by 21-year-old James Coburn, of McGregor, who was southbound on Great River Road in a Ford Focus. Both vehicles received disabling damage, and no injuries were reported. After investigation, Coburn was arrested and charged with operating while under the influence—first offense; driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway; and failure to provide proof of financial liability—accident related.
