Flood warnings on two rivers have prompted Clayton County officials to close some county park properties until further notice. The properties include Frieden Park, Big Spring Campground, Turkey River Park, Motor Mill (the inn, campground and mill tours), Buck Creek, Joy Spring, the middle and back sections of Bloody Run Campground and Pony Hollow Trail. The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for the Volga and Turkey rivers in Clayton County. The Turkey River stood at 22.26 feet Sunday morning in Garber, where major flood stage is 23 feet. The Volga River stood at 17.10 feet Saturday night, where major flood stage is 18 feet.
