The two-day boys state golf tournaments begin today. Class 1A is being played at Westwood Golf Course in Newton, 2A is hosted by South Hills Golf Course in Waterloo, and the 3A tournament is at Gates Park Golf Course in Waterloo. Locally, Beckman Catholic junior Jacob Wegmann and Maquoketa Valley junior Elijah Dougherty will compete for the individual title in class 2A.
