A teen driver has died following a single-vehicle accident in Jackson County Friday. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 3:00 p.m. at 17th Street and 484th Avenue, west of Miles. A state patrol crash report states that an 18-year-old from Clinton was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound on 17th Street and lost control near 484th Avenue. The vehicle left the roadway then struck a building, coming to rest inside the building. The driver was transported by ambulance to Jackson County Regional Health Center where they died from their injuries. The driver’s name has not been released at this time.
