A building housing 3 businesses in Cascade was destroyed by fire Tuesday. A press release from the Dubuque County Sheriff's states that at about 3:50 pm, deputies along with fire departments from Cascade, Monticello, Farley, Bernard, and Dyersville responded to 951 Highway 136 in Cascade, for a report of a structure fire. The release states the commercial building was found to be fully engulfed. Businesses being operated out of the building include Green Truck Line Inc, Finzel Repair, and Noonan Trucking LLC. The building and contents, consisting of semi tractors and other semi tractor repair equipment are considered a total loss. The total damage is estimated at approximately $1,000,000. No injuries were reported and the sheriff's department says the cause of the fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
