A Marion man suffered minor injuries after being run over by a bulldozer. According to a news release from the Linn County Sheriff's Department, deputies along with emergency crews were dispatched just after 2 PM to an accident with injuries at the Solid Waste Agency on County Home Road in Marion. The release states that 49-year-old Darren Breault of Marion was standing on one side of a large pile of trash when a Caterpillar D6 bulldozer, operated by 60-year-old Jerry Chesmore of Cedar Rapids, started pushing the pile from the other side. Breault became entangled in the trash and was run over by the bulldozer. Breault was transported by Area Ambulance to St. Lukes Hospital with minor injuries. Chesmore was not injured in the incident.
