A Martelle teen was injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday. According to a press release from the Linn County Sheriff's Department, Deputies and emergency crews responded at about 3:10 PM to a personal motor vehicle accident. The release states a motorcycle driven by 17-year-old Amy Morris of Martelle, was eastbound in the 6400 block of Lakeside Road. As the road curved to the south, Morris lost control and entered the east ditch and laid the motorcycle down. Morris was wearing a helmet. Morris was transported to St. Luke’s in Marion with what are believed to be minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
