A Key West residence was damaged after a fire in the garage Tuesday afternoon. According to a news release from the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:50 PM, the Sheriff’s Office, along with Key West Fire, responded to a structure fire at a home owned by Brandon and Jessica Arensdorf at 9909 Elle Court. The fire was contained to a capped garage area within the residence. The home sustained minor smoke damage. Some of the residents were home at the time of the fire, but no one was injured. Investigation of the fire revealed that a side by side utility vehicle was parked moments before the fire started and believed to be the cause of the fire.
