Linn County authorities have released the identity of the person killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday morning. A news release from the Linn County Sheriff Department says deputies responded at about 7:25 AM to a motorcycle accident in the 400 Block of Cedar River Road, near Mount Vernon. The release states that a Kawasaki motorcycle was found in the east ditch after failing to negotiate a curve. The rider of the motorcycle, 22-year-old Matthew Keeler of Marion, was located near the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office.
