A High Wind Warning is in effect until 3 this afternoon. Very strong West to northwest winds have been gusting between 45 and 60 miles per hour and will continue today. Driving will be difficult especially for high profile vehicles on north-south roads. A Winter Storm Watch is also in effect Sunday evening, through Monday. The National Weather Service says a significant winter storm is expected to impact the area with snow, blowing snow, and strong winds. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 9 inches are possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph. Near blizzard conditions are possible and travel impacts are likely for the Monday morning commute.
